1 day left!

…You’ve got 1 day left!

“I am young. I share my culture with friends around the world…. I shape attitudes and I inspire leaders. I am AIESEC Iasi. I am the change.”

This is our vision!

You have 1 more day to make the change you need in your life. 1 day in which you can apply to become an AIESEC member and therefore apply for an internship abroad and then take a leadership position inside the organization. 1 more day to decide if you want to step up and be the one that shapes its destiny, or let opportunities pass you by.

Apply on www.aieseciasi.ro!

We have one last true story for you:

“I consider myself to be very lucky: I managed to work in two internships abroad!

The first one was in Zilina (Slovacia) at the end of summer 2010, in a small entrepreneurship company. I had the chance to understand better what entrepreneurship really means, what are the difficulties you have to confront with at first, and what are the essential things you have to focus on. Besides the useful lessons, I have acquired an experience in a domain I have never interacted with before –the management of waste material through recycling. The work environment had been extraordinary: I’ve made some good friends in Zilina and I had the chance to make some trips in Tatra mountains and in the Czech republic. I was surprised to see that there are a few significant differences between the countries from Eastern Europe

. My second internship is in Belgium. Starting from December 2010 I work for Alcatel – Lucent in Antwerp(Belgium) as a Pricing Strategy Analyst. Because of this internship I had the chance to learn what it means to be an employee in a corporation: with the good and the less good parts. I work in a team of five people of various nationalities (they are from Brasil, Holland, Italy and Switzerland). It is a year when my main purposes are to acquire new abilities and knowledge, to improve myself in the areas of marketing and financial management and to travel as much as possible in Europe.

In my opinion an internship represents the transition between AIESEC and the start of a career and could help you experiment and see what really fits you. You have a lot of options to choose from and you can enjoy everyday life, new friends and new ideas.”

Take a decision now, improve your future!

Laura’s story: a complete learning experience

Are curious to know how AIESEC looked in 2003? Today’s testimonial can help you understand the NOW&THEN of AIESEC Iasi. Read into Laura’s story and know that YOU can enjoy the same experience. Just apply to be an AIESEC member until March 31st on www.aieseciasi.ro.

“In my time (in 2003)…  AIESEC wasn’t as notorious as it is today but, when I saw my name on the list of the recruited members, it was still a big”WOW!” I felt the joy and fulfillment that represented the base for my 3 years spent in AIESEC.

In AIESEC Iasi I learned about: teamwork, responsibility towards others, mission, visions, international perspectives, leadership, organization, promotion and perseverance. Here I learned and experimented what active volunteers love: capitalizing ideas, friendship, “practice before theory”, ambition and dexterity that came as a result of the numerous trainings on personal development.

In AIESEC Iasi I was part of the Outgoing Exchange Team (OGX) and then a Team Leader in the same department. I evolved as a recruiter and trainer in less than a year and, before becoming Alumni, I was already working with other organizations too. Concerning my project management experience, in AIESEC I had the chance to lead the “Discover Romania” team. That was the last edition of the project before this one was turned into IASHINGTON. With that Global Village, organized by AIESEC Iasi, we won the first prize in a national conference.

When it comes to international experiences I had the chance to spend two months in Covilha, Portugal, as a vice-president of the OGX department. It was an international friendship experience that no young student should miss! Allow yourself the chance to adapt to new cultures.

So far I’ve been through various international experiences and I am now the president of Junior Chamber Iasi. I also work as a recruiter for Continental Automotive Romania.

I am still thanking AIESEC Iasi and the leaders from my generation for the influence that they had in my development.

The decision of saying YES to AIESEC is for sure a great one. It can help you for a lifetime!”

Come and meet us!

As the Spring Campaign started with success and we began to see that  students around us are interested in it, we thought that it will be a good idea to organize a student meeting to give you the information you need .

So AIESEC Iasi proudly invites you on Monday, March 14, from 12 to 2 PM, inside the Faculty of Computer Science, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University, in C308 (first floor) to the first student meeting of this spring.

During this period we will be talking about AIESEC as an international organization – focused on explaining what a complete AIESEC experience means –we will try to answer questions like “What is AIESEC?”, ”How can you become an AIESEC member?” and “What benefits can AIESEC bring you?”.

At the end of your discussions there will be a moment similar to a testimonial: a returnee is going to talk about his complete experience in AIESEC, how this changed him, about his internship and the opportunities he managed to obtain after in his life.

Ina’s Internship Story

March 8th, International Women Day. AIESEC Iasi would like to say “Happy Birthday” to all the women in its own way; by presenting the story of a courageous girl, who took a chance and worked in an internship in Turkey. Her conclusions about AIESEC and about internationalism?

Read and enjoy! And be sure to be happy in this wonderful day.:)

“Everybody does what he likes during College: some people work, others take foreign languages classes and some of them are volunteers. I choose  to be a volunteer in AIESEC Iasi.

It was the wisest decision I could have taken then. Why? Because AIESEC has opened up my eyes to see the existing opportunities, because there  was the place where I have  discovered myself and I have learned that any effort you make will be rewarded at a time or another.

AIESEC it’s the organization that teaches what professionalism  devotion, involvement and responsibility mean. This characteristics are much more emphasized in my behavior at the time.

Besides the professional experience that I have obtained by taking part in projects, departments, decision making, AIESEC has influenced me a lot on a personal level too. There is where I have built long time relationships and where I have learned what efficient communication means.

Thanks to my international experience that I benefitted from( an internship in Ankara – Turkey), I’ve managed to understand more things about life and about the people around me. When you’re in a foreign country, where you don’t know anybody, where you have to find an efficient communication method to get along with those around you then is when you learn how to live.

I’ll never forget the wonderful experience from my College years because it has opened me the doors to a successful career and has taught me what behaviors I should adopt in different situations.”

(Ina)
